María del Mar Rodríguez Carnero, known as La Mari, is the composer, vocalist, and creative force behind Chambao, one of the most personal and recognizable musical projects on the Spanish music scene. With over 25 years in the business, Chambao has cemented its place as a leading name in Spanish music, achieving 11 platinum records, Ondas Awards, the Medal of Andalusia, and nominations for Latin Grammy and Goya Awards. A pioneering fusion of flamenco, electronic, and chill sounds, Chambao defined its own style, known internationally as “Flamenco Chill,” with iconic songs like ‘Ahí estás tú’, ‘Papeles mojados’, and ‘Pokito a poko’.

In 2026, Chambao celebrates its 25th anniversary with the album Chambao 25 ​​Aniversario, featuring new versions of its most iconic songs with collaborations from artists such as Alejandro Sanz, Estopa, Camilo, Rosario Flores, Vanesa Martín, Malú, Estrella Morente, SFDK, Pablo Alborán, and Joan Manuel Serrat, amongst others. The celebration continues with a tour that will bring them to Es Jardí Mallorca on July 9th, where they will demonstrate that, while maintaining their identity and essence, Chambao remains an essential reference point in contemporary flamenco pop and Spanish music.
