LA OREJA DE VAN GOGH

It was more than two decades ago when five friends from San Sebastián stole time from their studies to shape their first songs in a rehearsal space. That uncertain adventure, which they called La Oreja de Van Gogh, would become a national phenomenon and an exciting global success. The group has given us some of Spanish pop’s most iconic compositions, owns an award gallery like no other artist in the country can dream of (Latin Grammy for Best Pop Album, International MTV Award for Best Spanish Artist, two Ondas Awards, two Music Awards…) and the title of Spanish band with the highest sales of the 21st century.

With songs that are burned in our memory such as ‘El 28’, ‘La playa’ or ‘Rosas’, amongst many others, they have visited half the world on endless tours. The last one, showcasing their eighth album, Un susurro en la tormenta (2020) took them through Latin America, the United States and a double tour of Spain, a total of 125 concerts before more than 400,000 people. After a short break to take a breather after this long trip, Leire, Pablo, Xabi, Haritz and Álvaro are working on their next album and in 2024 they will return to the stages of the best festivals in the country, stopping by Es Jardí to celebrate with us their over 25 years on the road.
